Choosing a quality program is one of the most important and difficult decisions you will ever make. We can provide you with information and checklists to use for visiting programs and determining if they provide quality care. It is our goal to help you confidently choose a program for your family. Speak to a Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist

To speak to a Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist please call toll free 1-866-269-3022. The specialist will conduct a short telephone interview with you to determine your child care needs. You should be prepared to provide answers to some basic questions like these:

• Where is child care needed?
• What types of child care options are you considering?
• When do you need child care?
• How many and what are the ages of the children who need care?
• Do you need assistance in paying for child care?

Once we have your information, we will complete a search and give you computer generated listings of legally operated programs, and identify child care providers who may meet your child care needs. We can then provide the referrals to you via an e-mail, fax or mail. The phone call will also include a review of the process for finding child care, including how you can determine the quality of a child care program. Because we do not license, endorse, or recommend any particular program or type of program, it is suggested that you visit several programs to determine which one best serves the needs of your family. If for any reason the referrals do not meet your needs, you are welcome to call back for an expanded or revised search.

Child Care Resource and Referral is A FREE and confidential service to the community.
